About the Jawa Junkyard
The Jawa Junkyard is more than just a build series it's a growing maker community founded by filmmaker and creator Jason Montney. Inspired by the salvaging spirit of Star Wars Jawas, the playlist showcases custom props, 3D prints, and creative builds made from misprints, spare parts, and repurposed materials.
Filmed inside Jason’s lore driven set styled after a Tatooine junkyard, each video gives fans an inside look at the raw, gritty, and resourceful side of the cosplay world. From full blasters and tools to modular greeblies and Mando gear, Jason walks viewers through the process of building, repairing, and reinventing props from the ground up.
But the real power of the Jawa Junkyard is in the Discord community. Open to makers, collectors, and creators of all levels, the Jawa Junkyard Discord channel is a hub where fans can:
- Browse and purchase misprints and extra parts at deep discounts
- Trade items with other makers
- Ask build questions or share their own WIP photos
- Collaborate on designs, paint techniques, or cosplay mods
- Access behind-the-scenes content not shown on YouTube
Jason created the Junkyard to help other builders especially those without access to 3D printers or large budgets — get their hands on real, working pieces for cheap. Nothing is mass produced. Every part sold or traded has a story behind it, and most come straight from Jason’s personal print queue.
Whether you're looking to learn the craft, score rare parts, or connect with other Star Wars inspired builders, the Jawa Junkyard is the place to get your hands dirty and be part of something scrappy, functional, and creative.
